little sickies

I don't know if that's a word, my spell check says it's not. But that's what we have today, little sickies. Cameron is the worst off, she's got a fabulous river of snot running down her face and sad watery eyes, and a pathetic phlegmy cough. (Hey, how come spell check let me have "phlegmy" but not "sickie"?) Jason's got the watery eyes, cough and the amazing ability to keep his runny nose contained by sniffing like a mad man... no time to blow his nose. I'm pretty convinced that the cure for the common cold is baked goods so I made a batch of muffins and I think I'll make some cookies this afternoon. I also have plans to wipe down the entire house with Lysol wipes and continue to wash my hands at a rate that will quickly turn my hands to dry, chapped replicas of their former selves. Hayden's fine by the way, she and I will stick together in this epic battle between sickies and healthies!

'sickie' definitely does not mean the same as 'sicko'... you gotta love the nuances of slang.

Poor Cams! Could you find a more pathetic picture? At least the "river of snot" is clear and not bright yellow or green! I think you got the idea of baked goods curing everything from me - sorry! Chocolate chip cookies with a mug of hot chocolate and tons of marshmallows is the best!

Yeah... Brownies sound like a good cure to me...
We just got over cough (nebulizer treatments for Brady), Croup (hope) and both kids at various times had an ear ache. They are almost finished with thier antibiotics. Hope's tastes horrid, so we fight the whole time. Brady's is yummy kine so he slurps his up. SIGH, I had been sick first, but they didn't get what I had...or I didn't have what they got, whichever!
Praying you stay healthy and that your kids get well soon!
Take care! Eat cookies.

I think we may be on to something here! A "Sickie Bomb." Think about the old insect-control foggers combined with some Airborne and Lysol? I'd buy one. Sickie Bomb your house at the first sniffle? Who wouldn't want one? If you could only make it smell like fresh-baked cookies instead of hospital-grade disinfectant...

Bazillionaires. That's what we'd be.

Well, we're on round two of the "sickies" here, so I totally understand what you're going through: cough, runny nose, and generally blah. Trevor ended up getting hives from his inhaler, which I already told you on Sunday. He's feeling better, and now I am coughing! Ugha! Tell Jason that Trevor missed him at Awana last night. Get better Jas and Cam, and stay well Jen, Darren, and Hayden. Great pics that Jill took, by the way. I saw them on her facebook page!
